I’m a “net-net” kind of person. You know – start a long conversation about how the Starbucks grinder missed it’s regular maintenance due to the technician having a freak lottery win and my comment will be “Look, what’s the net-net? Am I going to get any coffee this morning?” Most of us have a tendency to want the summary in today’s fast-paced world, and the appeal of this “summary level” of information is also apparent when we speak to clients evaluating behavioral and personality assessments. But, is the “net-net” approach really a good idea when it comes to people?
